Jeff Hush Lifeline

Jeff Hush received his BA (with a double major in Dance and Writing) at Wesleyan University in 1984. He specialized in modern dance, ballet, and Indonesian dance. He also practiced Tai Chi from 1980 to 2003. From 1985 to 1994, Hush worked as a Shakespeare scholar, teaching at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Chicago. He moved to Prague, Czech Republic in 1995 and established a consulting business to help Czech business leaders with English for their companies (to expand into international markets).

In addition to his consulting business...

Hush became a Fitness Instructor, in September 2008, at World Class, one of Europe’s most prestigious gyms, with three locations in Prague. Until September of 2010, Hush taught there Power Yoga, Pilates, and Chi Yoga, which he created from a fusion of Tai Chi and Power Yoga. From 2003 to the present, Hush has studied many other styles of yoga (in Europe, Mexico and the USA), including Bikram, Iyengar, Astanga, Vinyasa, Yin, and 2 Jivamukti Intensives with Yogeswari (from NYC).

Hush’s newest workshop...

“Yoga and the Business of Managing Stress” was first presented, through his consulting business, at Citibank’s HQ in Prague in August 2010. Since then the workshop has been given in San Diego and Mexico City. Updated, this workshop is now being offered in the US, for both companies and individuals.

Currently...

Hush, an independent producer and choreographer, is writing the book of an opera, “Phoolan Devi,” with a Sri Lankan composer, Gayathri Khemadasa, who is a Fulbright scholar at Wesleyan University from September 2011.
